Robert S. Nishime, MD

Dr. Robert S. Nishime (Dr. Bob) was born and raised in Chicago and is a graduate of Northwestern University [‘89] and Rush Medical College [‘94]. He has been serving the Greater San Jose area for the past five years as a family practice and sports medicine physician.

Dr. Bob is an American Board of Family Practice Board Certified physician with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.

His active participation in South Bay Area medical teaching programs and involvement in several of San Jose’s professional and non-professional sports programs, gives him the experience and knowledge to offer his clients the most current treatments for both sports and non-sports ailments or injuries.

     Joy A. Nishime, MD

Dr Bob's sister, Dr. Joy A. Nishime, received her undergraduate education at Yale University, where she studied molecular biophysics and biochemistry. Dr Joy also grew up in Chicago and attended Rush Medical College. She is board certified.

A member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Joy specializes in internal medicine with personal interests in women's health and geriatric medicine. Incorporating an evidence-based approach to treatment with the principles of preventive medicine, Dr. Joy's practice philosophy is tailored to address the specific concerns and goals of each individual.
